In this essay I have placed humans at the very centre of the universe, despite of being only an infinitesimal speck in it.
I have given a unifying view of how to resolve and apprehend the duality of an external world and an internal mental world by indicating physical principles suitable for every level of existence.
We must accept to be part of a single universe as living beings with all our strengths and weaknesses.
Having evolved with a complex nervous system able to generate an increasingly autonomous self, we must construct a world view based on experimental science of the external world, the social world, and our own inner world.
This view enables a constructive creativity, expressed at its best by making every individual free, independent, and responsible.
The social environment that fosters this aim includes sustaining civil and human rights, within parliamentary democracies supporting separation of power and freedom of expression.
Systems based on absolute ideologies and totalitarian social structures including religions must be avoided.
Humans are more dangerous than AI (artificial intelligence) because we can reproduce easily, we are resilient, we can solve many problems, and we are programmed for a long time. But we are difficult to reverse once we have been programmed. So the great number of humans already so violent and cruel are the real danger to humanity, not AI robots.
While we exist in a four-dimensional world we only experience it in the present, for the duration of an action. It follows that the value of our behaviour (our ethics) applies to every action only in the here and now.
The world view described in this essay strongly recommends we use of our creative imagination to continue to explore the external and internal worlds.
Such explorations should benefit human existence by solving problems to reduce suffering while doing no harm to ourselves, to others, or to the environment.
From this perspective, we can develop activities that provide pure individual and collective satisfaction and happiness. They include creative arts, music, adventures, and sports so we can enjoy human company within our earthly life.
