One Physics for World and Mind
Overview

For an overview of how One Physics for World and Mind: a framework for understanding the physical nature of the mind came about and an introduction to some of its key ideas, Marcello gave this talk to the Centre for Neuroscience at Flinders University in March 2024.

The central theme explored here is that of unifying the external world (res extensa of Descartes) with our inner world of the mind (res cogitans). Marcello proposes that the brain consists of superimposed internal neural loops and that by portraying graphically the brain activity at the appropriate loops, mental phenomena can be studied as with all other natural phenomena, in a scientific way. Professor Simon Brookes acts as host and interlocutor.
