Growing up in Argentina, Marcello fell in love with the mountains, mountaineering and exploration. Here are some videos recounting his various adventures, mostly centred on the Patagonian region.
In 1959 I was lucky to be invited to be a member of an expedition to the Ice pack in Patagonia. I returned twice since (1995 and 2005) with the original head of the expedition Hugo Corbella, with my brother Giorgio, my son Andre and my nephew Guy. This is a personal remembrance of some of those times with crossing of the Hielo Continental Sur from Lake San Martin to Lago Viedma and with ascents of some easy peaks. This the first half.

This is the second half of my documentary on my 3 expeditions to the Patagonian ice pack, the Hielo Continental Sur, starting in 1959, then in 1995 and 2005. We named some mountain ranges while crossing for the first time to the Pacific Fjiords, linking Lake San Martin (O’Higgins) to Lake Viedma, and circumnavigating for the first time the massifs of the Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy.

This an unpublished video of part of an expedition to the Southern Ice Pack (Hielo Continental Sur) in Patagonia in 1994-1995. We climbed Cerro Piramide starting from El Chalten via Paso Marconi where some of us were in 1959.
This is a 2023 description in Italian by Marcello of his travel around South America including a descent of the Amazon River in 1960, first with his friends, and later with his brother, Giorgio.
